Staff Accountant

We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Staff Accountant to join our international accounting team. Reporting directly to the Global Accounting Manager, this crucial role will be primarily responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our cash management through the meticulous and timely reconciliation of numerous bank accounts across our diverse entities. This position demands a robust understanding of accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and a proven track record in managing multi-currency reconciliations within a corporate setting. The ideal candidate will also possess prior experience working with ERP systems, with familiarity in SAP being a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations for over 20 bank accounts spanning multiple legal entities and currencies.
• Thoroughly investigate and resolve reconciling items in a timely and efficient manner, collaborating effectively with internal teams and external banking partners.
• Accurately prepare and post journal entries related to bank transactions and reconciliation adjustments within the ERP system.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive and well-organized reconciliation work papers in adherence to company policies and procedures.
• Proactively identify and implement process improvements to optimize the efficiency and accuracy of the bank reconciliation process.
• Actively participate in month-end and year-end closing activities, providing detailed supporting documentation as required.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and enforcement of internal controls related to cash management.
• Provide comprehensive support for internal and external audits by supplying necessary documentation and clear explanations.
• Stay informed on current accounting pronouncements and best practices relevant to cash management and bank reconciliations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• CPA (or pursuing) is a plus.
• Minimum of 5-7 years of accounting experience.
• Experience with U.S. GAAP is required.
• Proven expertise in performing bank reconciliations for a substantial number of accounts
• Previous experience in the direct selling industry is strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and other advanced functions).
• Experience with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
• Familiarity with foreign currency translations and global financial reporting requirements
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Strong communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Problem-solving and analytical skills.

Pay: Php55,000.00 - Php65,000.00 per month
