Job Description:

As a Steel Erector, you will be responsible for assembling and installing steel frameworks for various construction projects. Your role involves reading blueprints, positioning steel components, and ensuring the structural integrity of the erected steel. This position requires precision, attention to safety protocols, and the ability to work at heights.

Responsibilities:

- Assemble and install steel structures and frameworks according to specifications.

- Read and interpret blueprints and plans to ensure accurate erection of steel components.

- Utilise cranes and other equipment to position steel beams and columns.

- Bolt or weld steel components in place.

- Conduct safety inspections and follow all health and safety regulations.

- Collaborate with other construction workers and supervisors to complete projects efficiently.

- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the erection process.

Requirements:

- Proven experience as a Steel Erector or in a similar role within the construction industry.

- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and plans.

- Proficiency in using construction tools and equipment, including cranes.

- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.

- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

- Physically fit and able to work at heights.

- Candidates will undergo a trades test to assess their skills and suitability for the role.
