Store Manager ( Pizza Paradise Burnside )
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Store Manager to join our busy pizza store in Burnside,Christchurch. This is a key leadership position where you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store’s day-to day operations, ensuring the business runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably.
As the sole person in charge of the store, you will play a critical role in driving performance,
maintaining high standards of customer service and coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, organise, direct, control, and coordinate the overall operations of the store
  • Manage daily store activities including customer service, sales, and back-of house operations
  • Monitor and control stock levels, including purchasing, inventory management, and stock
rotation
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate supply arrangements where
required
  • Recruit, train, supervise, and performance-manage staff, including preparing rosters and
ensuring adequate staffing levels
  • Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained and resolve customer complaints
effectively
  • Analyse sales figures and financial reports to monitor performance and implement
improvements
  • Manage store budgets, cash flow, and financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and
accountability
  • Develop and implement pricing strategies, promotional activities, and sales initiatives to
maximise revenue
  • Ensure the store complies with all company policies, operational procedures, and relevant
legislation (including health and safety requirements)
Maintain records of stock, sales, and financial transactions in accordance with business and legal requirements
  • Lead and support a positive workplace culture and ensure staff adhere to company standards
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability
  • Ensure the premises are well-presented, safe, and compliant at all times
  • Carry out any other managerial duties as required to support the business
You will need the following skills:
  • Relevant work experience of at least 2 years OR qualification (business, hospitality,
commerce, management etc.)
  • Be punctual and work the hours and times specified.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills to supervise staff across kitchen, counter
delivery operations.
  • Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
  • Competence in cash handling, daily reconciliation, and inventory control.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace health & safety regulations.
  • Ability to train, motivate, and evaluate team performance.
  • Skills in rostering, ordering, and managing labour costs within budget.
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer applications (Excel, email, reporting tools).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability, especially during peak hours.
  • Flexible to work on weekends, evenings, and public holidays as required in a fast-paced
environment
  • Must have clean criminal history
  • Must pass pre-employment checks if required
