Who We Are

The Role and Opportunity

AgResearch is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated students to join us for a Summer Internship program. These are aimed at students who are currently undertaking tertiary study and will run from 20 November 2023 until 9 February 2024. This is an exciting opportunity for you to experience what your professional career at a Crown Research Institute could be like - to gain exposure to the Science community, developing skills, and creating connections that will set you up for a bright career.
It is expected that the student will spend most of their time at Massey Wellington with perhaps 2-3 weeks at Lincoln. .

The Project

This project is to explore the opportunities for combining wool and natural latex rubber with a focus on exploring design potential.
Key tasks will include, recreate samples using existing methods, explore possible design possibilities and areas of application, develop new methods to create wool latex structures/ fabrics, investigate the properties of these structures, draft a plan for future work. .

Your Ideal Background

• Currently studying in a relevant tertiary course

• Be able to commit to working from Nov ‘23 – Feb ‘24 (excluding our Christmas close-down period)
• A keen attitude and motivation to work in an innovative environment
• Demonstrates safe workplace behaviour by taking all practicable steps to ensure own and other’s safety in the workplace
