Superannuation Legislation Analyst
Location : Melbourne / Brisbane / Sydney / Wollongong

This role requires to apply superannuation and financial services knowledge to assess regulatory change and determine the impact on Apex Superannuation’s software and services to ensure ongoing compliance whilst ensuring internal and external stakeholders remain abreast of current legislative requirements and forthcoming changes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in managing the legislative program of work and keeping Colleagues, Clients and other stakeholders updated on forthcoming legislative change
- Undertaking impact analysis on legislative and regulatory change
- Ensuring Acurity Registry and other Apex Superannuation software and services continue to comply with prevailing legislative requirements
- Assisting in the implementation of regulatory change within the Fund Administration Team
- Assisting various stakeholders with scoping, estimating and solution approaches to support client/project proposals relating to regulatory change
- Providing research and consulting services internally and to external clients on legislative and regulatory topics
- Representing Apex on industry panels and consultative bodies to help shape the future of Superannuation and to ensure an in-depth knowledge of upcoming changes is obtained, maintained and shared
- Respond to and resolve internal and external queries in a timely and effective manner
- Proactively manage and communicate relevant changes to legislation and any compliance issues brought about by changes to legislation or statutory requirements via regular Legislative Updates
- Create and deliver Business Process Impact Assessment (BPIA) documents describing proposed changes to the Acurity Products and processes required to maintain compliance with legislation and ensure solutions support business requirements
- Work with cross functional teams as required to ensure Apex superannuation products are developed in accordance with the necessary laws, policies and codes of practice. In particular, work with the product, implementation and administration teams to ensure solutions are compliant
Skills required:
- At least 5-years’ experience working in the Superannuation and Financial Services Industry
- Must possess an in depth knowledge of the legislation and regulations supporting Australia’s Financial Services Industry; with a particular focus on Superannuation
- Excellent interpersonal skills (including influencing, facilitation, negotiation) and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of Apex and at Client organisations
- Degree in a relevant discipline or proven experience in the field
- Experience with the complete software development lifecycle
- Experience with Superannuation Administration processes
- Experience in analysis and design
- Experience in the use of issue tracking systems
- An ability to work independently and within a team structure
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within a commercially sensitive environment and maintain confidentiality
- High degree of personal motivation and self-discipline and a demonstrated ability to self-start and set personal objectives
