Your role in our team

As a System Developer in our Retail Domain, Commerce Team, you take end-to-end responsibility for the development and maintenance of both backend services and user-facing solutions. You ensure that our software is well-designed, reliable, secure and available, and you actively contribute to discussions, planning and continuous improvement within the team. You report to Head of Domain Development and work closely with developers, architects and other stakeholders.

In the role you will also:

• Take technical ownership and contribute to investigations of new technical solutions

• Collaborate on system architecture to ensure scalable, high-performing and maintainable designs

• Act as a mentor for less experienced developers, sharing knowledge and best practices

• Contribute to high code quality through reviews, testing and continuous improvement

Is this you?

You welcome feedback, take initiative in your development, embrace learning, and are curious about digital tools that support you and your team to grow. We also believe you have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience

• Experience in backend development using Java

• Experience with JavaScript, preferably with React, for frontend development

• Solid knowledge of Azure, including resource management, networking and security

• Experience working with containers and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes (k8s/k3s)

• Experience with modern deployment practices, including CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines), Helm and GitOps-based deployments using ArgoCD

• Knowledge of monitoring and operations using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana

• Experience troubleshooting distributed systems in Windows and Linux environments

• Fluency in English, both spoken and written
