About the role:
To work alongside the Operations team within your assigned warehouse and despatch to ensure the safe and efficient receipt, storage, despatch and delivery of SCS customer products and orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately pick and pack orders in line with client and company requirements.
- Handle heavy or bulky items safely, using manual handling techniques or equipment (e.g. pallet jacks, forklifts – if licensed).
- Operate RF scanners and/or warehouse management systems (WMS) to record and track inventory.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks and containers as required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with WHS/OHS standards.
- Support the team to meet daily performance and productivity targets.
- Report any damaged goods, safety hazards, or equipment issues promptly to supervisors.
- Conduct pre- and post-operation checks on allocated equipment.
- Perpetuate a positive, proactive, team-based culture within the operations team through regular and effective communication.
- Any other duties as may be reasonably requested from time to time.
- Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment preferred.
- Comfortable lifting and moving heavy items (up to 20kgs safely).
- Knowledge of RF scanning, pallet stacking, or WMS systems desirable.
- Current Forklift Licence (LF/LO) highly regarded but not essential.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume setting.
- Proven reliability and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Willingness to work flexible or changing hours, including weekends if required.
- Physically fit and capable of repetitive lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment (temperature variations, noise, etc.).
- Available to work additional shifts on short notice if required.
