As a Technical Program Manager Intern, you will support projects focused on long-term regional planning, strategy formulation and process improvement. You will have the opportunity to join a team that partners across Microsoft Engineering teams to shape the future of the Azure and AI region portfolio and our velocity to deliver Cloud Capacity globally.

During your internship you will Design and implement tooling to support region expansion initiatives within our Cloud infrastructure. Further, you will collaborate with senior Technical Program Managers (TPMs) to gain insights and contribute to Cloud and AI growth projects.

This opportunity will allow you to

  • Learn how hyperscale cloud regions are designed and expanded (AI & Azure), working alongside infrastructure and engineering teams.

  • Build real program + engineering coordination skills, helping track plans, document decisions, and support technical rollouts across multiple teams.

  • Develop risk-awareness and stakeholder communication, by monitoring execution issues and helping drive alignment/approvals across EMEA.


This role will be based in our Dublin Campus, however will offer flexibility only requiring a min of 3 days per week in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation process for products and services typically involving large, complex cross-functional implementation with multiple internal teams or external partners.

  • Responsible for specific features in our technology solutions for the full product cycle, working on the initial feature planning and design, managing the specifications of development, and monitoring on-going operations to better understand customer experiences.

  • Work collaboratively with teammates to ensure our products exceed customer expectations, while delivering on the roadmap.

  • Communicate throughout the process to understand progress towards delivery, technical challenges, and to provide clarity on customer needs using a data driven approach.

  • Demonstrate an ability to learn and adopt relevant new technologies, tools, methods and processes to leverage in your solutions.


This internship is a 12‑week program and will take place between June and August 2026.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Must have at least one semester/term of school remaining following the completion of the internship .

  • You must be legally authorised to work in Ireland to be eligible for this role. (Legally authorised = Has citizenship or has been granted a valid visa or work permit)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related business discipline, plus at least one year of experience in engineering, product management, technical program management, data analysis, or product development.
  • 1+ year(s) experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects

  • 1+ year(s) experience reading and/or writing code (e.g., sample documentation, product demos)
