Prime Fluid Management are seeking an energetic and organised Technical Sales Support Engineer to ensure our team of sales engineers deliver accurate, competitive and fit-for-purpose pumping solutions. Based in our Tauranga branch, you will be responsible for translating complex customer requirements into clear specifications and commercially sound proposals, your input will be critical in supporting our sales process to ensure clarity, precision and confidence in every solution we present.

What you'll be doing!
- Working with our sales engineers to ensure solutions are aligned with our customer needs and fit-for-purpose
- Partner with our sales engineers to ensure technical and commercial alignment on all opportunities
- Preparing technical proposals, quotations and bid packages
- Liaising with pump manufacturers, distributors and component suppliers to obtain pricing, lead times and technical specifications
- Interpreting customer requirements and specifications to find fit-for-purpose pumping solutions
- Help develop tailored fluid management solutions across: dewatering, sewer bypass, sludge & slurry, plant and process
Who we're looking for:
We're after someone energetic, enthusiastic, and eager to learn - someone who thrives in a team that works hard, has fun, and supports each other. You'd describe yourself as:
- Having mechanical engineering knowledge (a Mechanical Engineering Diploma would be ideal)
- Five years work experience working in a similar position relative to this role
- A solid understanding of pumping principles, hydraulics and fluid handling systems
- Experience with pump selection tools and application engineering
- A strong communicator who strengthens relationships and enjoys contributing to overall success
- Proven ability to work collaboratively across sales, engineering and supplier networks.
Experience with CRM systems, Microsoft Office and quotation software is a must, along with the right mindset, drive, and fit for our team.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $115,000.00 per year
