Job Summary

The Technical Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for leading full‑cycle recruitment for technology, information security, digital banking, data analytics, payment solutions and related technical roles across the bank. This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand evolving business needs and to attract top talent that supports the bank’s digital transformation, operational efficiency, regulatory requirements, and modernization initiatives. The Technical Recruiter will serve as a brand ambassador, ensuring a positive, professional, and inclusive candidate experience that reflects the culture and values of a community bank.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage the end‑to‑end recruitment process for technical positions (e.g., IT support, systems administrators, network engineers, developers, cybersecurity analysts, digital banking product specialists, payment solutions positions, data analysts).
  • Define sourcing strategies to attract diverse, high‑quality candidates through job boards, professional networks, social media, employee referrals, and industry events.
  • Screen resumes and conduct phone/video interviews to assess technical ability, cultural alignment, and role fit.
  • Coordinate technical assessments, hiring manager interviews, panel interviews, and follow‑up evaluations.
  • Provide timely updates to hiring managers and candidates throughout the process.
  • Ensure all hiring practices comply with federal and state employment laws, EEO guidelines, and internal controls.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS and generate hiring metrics, pipeline reports, and time‑to‑fill analyses.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements within the Talent Acquisition function.
  • Work closely with IT, InfoSec, Operations, Digital Banking and Payments Solutions leadership to forecast hiring needs and develop staffing strategies.
  • Maintain strong awareness of banking technology trends, regulatory expectations (e.g., FDIC, FFIEC), and in‑demand skills within financial services.
  • Represent the bank professionally and knowledgeably in all candidate interactions.
  • Participate in career events, local technology meetups, college recruiting, and community partnerships to promote the bank’s employer brand.
  • Help maintain compelling job descriptions and recruitment marketing materials tailored to technical audiences.
  • Maintain accurate candidate records in the ATS and generate hiring metrics, pipeline reports, and time‑to‑fill analyses.
  • Contribute to continuous process improvements within the Talent Acquisition function.
  • Consistently apply good decision making techniques pertaining to inquiries, approvals, and requests as they apply to existing policies and procedures, keeping within assigned approval limits.
  • Responds to inquiries or refers inquiries to the appropriate department or person and exhibiting the necessary follow-through with customers and/or staff involved.
  • Assumes responsibility for various department functions in the absence of staff members or in overload situations as needed.

The employee shall comply with occupational safety and health standards and all rules, regulations and orders issued pursuant to the OSHA Act of 1970, which are applicable to one’s own actions and conduct.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of technical recruiting experience, ideally within financial services, fintech, or regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with IT infrastructure, networking, cybersecurity, core banking systems, cloud environments, digital banking platforms, or software development roles.
  • Prefer candidates with experience recruiting for technical positions involving artificial intelligence and systems engineering.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship‑building skills with internal stakeholders and candidates.
  • Experience recruiting in a community bank or regional financial institution. Knowledge of core banking systems (e.g., Fiserv, FIS) or digital banking platforms.
  • Technical certifications or familiarity with IT frameworks (e.g., CompTIA, CISSP concepts, ITIL).
  • Strong understanding of technical terminology and the ability to evaluate technical competencies.
  • Ability to manage multiple requisitions with competing priorities.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
  • Proficiency with ATS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, sourcing tools, and HRIS platforms.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision while performing duties.
