Tour Guide (Contractor)

Offering high-end boutique tasting tours for the discerning traveler, Taste Local NZ Ltd is a recently launched guided tour company focusing on Otago and Waitaki's artisanal food and drink scene.

Due to increasing work commitments, we are seeking a reliable, independent contractor guide who is an outgoing 'people person', has a passion for Otago's culinary scene with an in-depth knowledge of Otago's heritage and history. Training will also be provided if needed.

As a contractor, you would receive use of the luxury company vehicle for the guided tours (no more than 4 pax), so you must have a clean driver's license and P-license. As a contractor, you will be paid the full $38 per hour and it is up to you to arrange your own PAYE, ACC etc.

Please note, there are no guaranteed hours - the work would only become available as bookings come in, so this role would suit someone who is comfortable with occasional work and is available as needed.

There is the opportunity to to increase your hours if desired, by promoting the business as much as you like in order to secure more bookings, so someone who is IT/social media savvy would be great, but not an absolute must-have.
