Trade Counter Sales Assistant

1. Job Title:

Working at a busy construction parts company in Athlone you will be required to deal with customer queries, answering phone calls from customers, dealing with technical queries related to parts for Volvo construction equipment and mining and quarry wear parts, organising parts with our shippers, and ordering parts.

3. Job Summary:

• Seeking a motivated and knowledgeable [Job Title] to manage parts inventory, assist customers with selections, and ensure smooth operations at [Company Name].

4. Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers, understand their needs, provide expert advice, handle inquiries, and resolve issues.
• Inventory Management: Receive, stock, organize, and accurately record parts; perform regular stock counts; manage backorders.
• Sales & Admin: Process sales, handle cash, run reports, manage store records, and assist customer technical enquiries .
• Store Operations: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment; process shipments.

5. Qualifications & Skills(Required/Preferred):

• Education: High School Diploma or GED (Required).
• Experience: Experience in parts sales, automotive, or related customer service roles.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction equipment particularly Volvo construction equipment (although a good interest in construction related machinery may suffice) systems, and inventory principles.
• Skills:
• Excellent verbal/written communication & interpersonal skills, excellent command of the English language.
• Strong organisational & multitasking abilities.
• Proficiency with inventory software & basic computer skills (MS Office).
• Problem-solving, attention to detail, and accuracy.
• Ability to lift up to 25kg (for some roles).
• Team player & ability to work independently.

Salary:

Salary given is varied and will depend on your technical background and experiance. Commission based sales an opportunity upon meeting correct work standards

Pay: €28,000.00-€55,000.00 per year
