• Cash Position Monitoring: Assist in the daily tracking of cash balances across various bank accounts to ensure there are sufficient funds for the day's disbursements (e.g., claim payments, supplier checks).
• Bank Reconciliation Support: Cross-check bank statements against internal records to identify any floating entries or discrepancies.
• Check Management: Assist in the preparation, logging, and releasing of checks. This often involves ensuring that "accountable forms" (blank checks) are strictly monitored.
• Banking Liaising: Help prepare documents for opening or closing bank accounts and coordinate with bank personnel for transaction inquiries or document pick-ups.
• Fund Transfer Processing: Assist in drafting instructions for fund transfers (e.g., moving money from a collection account to a disbursement account or via PESONet/InstaPay).
• Investment Support: In an insurance setting, interns may help document the placement of "excess cash" into short-term investments like Time Deposits or Treasury Bills under the guidance of a supervisor.
• Administrative Record-Keeping: Maintain an organized filing system for bank certificates, validation slips, and Secretary’s Certificates required for corporate banking transactions.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy (BSA) or Accounting Information Systems (BSAIS) or related courses.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge (formulas like SUM, IF, and basic data sorting).
• Ability to spot numerical errors or missing information on official receipts.
• Since the role involves handling sensitive financial data, a high level of honesty and confidentiality is required.
