Being a Utility Worker in the industry is different to the normal hospitality lane. (Great news if you’re looking for a fresh start. It still requires a passion for creating clean and safe spaces, from Mine Site Cleaners to Housekeeping or Kitchen Utility departments the emphasis is on ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner creating a clean and safe environment for all. Getting a start in the industry opens doors to develop greater skills, where room for career growth and development is available.

Description:
To name a few of your daily routine for one of these roles (Mine Site Cleaner/Housekeeper/Kitchen) or combined Utility All Rounder at Cater Care encompasses a variety of tasks, including:

• Setting up and clearing dining rooms
• Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas
• Maintaining legislated food hygiene and safety practices
• Fast, effective service throughout busy periods - with a good attitude
• Assisting the broader team as required
• Preparing and presenting texture-modified foods
• Dining Room Duties - maintain cleanliness, stock and crib food levels
• Housekeeping Duties - room and ensuite cleaning, making beds (if needed)
• Common Area Cleaning - emptying bins, sweeping, mopping, general cleaning
• Mine Site Cleaning - cleaning offices, crib huts, bathhouses

Skills and Experiences:
The Ideal Applicant Will Have:

• Experience working as a Utility/ Utility All Rounder/Cleaner/Housekeeper/Kitchen Hand 12 months +
• A commitment to genuine, friendly customer service
• A motivated, enthusiastic and positive ‘can-do’ attitude
• Ability to work in a fast-paced time-sensitive environment
• Pride in personal appearance & hygiene
• Drivers License (Auto or Man)
• Australian Citizen or Australian Permanent Resident
