Veterinary Assistant And Receptionist

Rancho Mesa Animal Hospital is a long-standing general practice for small animals with deep ties to the community. Our hospital is well established in the Mira Mesa area with multigenerational clients and patients. There is nothing more rewarding than seeing a pet grow from a youngster to a senior and knowing you contributed to that pets well being.

We are looking for a veterinary assistant to help provide medical care and customer assistance as needed. Our next team member must be bright, responsible, self-motivated, and work well with others. They must be comfortable with speaking to owners, and handling friendly and sometimes difficult animals. We are willing to train and invest our time in the right candidate.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Patient Care
• Customer Service
• Assisting our doctors
• Blood collection and processing
• Radiographs
• Monitoring surgery and sedations
• Assist in dentals
• Reception work

WE WILL TRAIN

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, lift, kneel, and reach constantly during an 10 hour work day.

Schedule:

• Full time
• 4 (10 hour) shifts
• Must be available on Saturdays
