Web Designer Intern

Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and motivated Web Designer Intern to join our dynamic team. This nternship offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in digital design, user interface (UI), user experience (UX), and web development. The ideal candidate will have a passion for visual storytelling, interaction design, and web technologies, with a desire to develop a comprehensive skill set in a collaborative environment. You will work closely with experienced designers and developers to create engaging websites and digital assets that align with brand goals and user needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in designing visually appealing and user-friendly websites using tools such as Adobe XD, Figma, Sketch, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Support the development of responsive web pages utilizing HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap, and WordPress.
• Contribute to creating motion graphics, animations, and interactive prototypes to enhance user engagement.
• Collaborate on website maintenance tasks including updates, SEO optimization, and usability testing.
• Participate in user research and data analysis to inform design decisions and improve website performance using tools like Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.
• Help ensure web accessibility standards are met across all digital projects.
• Support front-end development efforts by integrating AJAX, React, Angular, or other frameworks as needed.
• Assist in creating wireframes, prototypes, and information architecture layouts using tools like Axure, Balsamiq, or Visio.
• Contribute to digital marketing initiatives including email marketing campaigns via Mailchimp or similar platforms.

Experience

• Basic knowledge of digital design principles including typography, visual design, UI/UX best practices, and interaction design.
• Familiarity with web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, and SQL is preferred.
• Experience with design tools like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, InVision, or Sketch is highly desirable.
• Understanding of content management systems such as WordPress or Drupal is a plus.
• Knowledge of front-end frameworks like Bootstrap or Angular will be beneficial.
• Skills in data analysis using Google Analytics or Adobe Analytics are advantageous.
• Prior exposure to version control systems like Git or Bitbucket is a plus.
• Strong interest in digital marketing strategies including SEO and email marketing campaigns.
• Ability to conduct user research and usability testing to inform design improvements.
