Position Summary:

Responsible for operating, maintaining and programming Wire EDM machine

Responsibilities:

• Setup, troubleshoot and operate Agie 100 Wire EDM machine.
• Use Solidworks and MasterCam software in order to facilitate writing programs to wire shapes, dimensions and geometry to Blueprint specs
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and quality specs.
• Performs Preventative Maintenance of Wire EDM equipment by applying work-related documents such as operating manuals, maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Will be required to assist toolmakers as necessary
• Maintain records and make data entries into computer systems
• Wear all required PPE at all times
• Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area

Education and Experience:

• High School or Equivalency Diploma
• Knowledge and use of shop math with mechanical aptitude
• Knowledge of various types of tool steel and principles of metal cutting
• 5 years minimum experience in machining or tool room environment
