Job Expectations
Build your career and Australia’s future.
Not many people can say they are working on building Australia’s future. With us you’ll be doing just that, leaving a legacy for all Australians. Plus, there’s equal employment, great training, and true flexible working arrangements.
A fantastic opportunity has presented itself for a Workflow Delivery Specialist reporting to the Manager Maintenance and Customer Program Delivery.
A bit about your role
As a Delivery Manager within nbn’s Maintenance and Customer Program Delivery team, you will play a central role in supporting the integrity and performance of some of our most critical national programs. You will guide the assessment, triage, and allocation of incoming work, ensuring each request is understood, validated, and directed to the right program or skilled workforce. Your work will help maintain the reliability of our aerial assets, support customer and general works, and uphold the responsiveness that communities across Australia rely on.
In this role, you will bring clarity to complex operational environments by creating well scoped work requests, monitoring progress across multiple programs, and nurturing strong relationships with internal teams and delivery partners. You will draw on data driven insights to optimise routing and scheduling, enabling efficient field execution and thoughtful resource utilisation. As you oversee end to end delivery, you will identify risks early, guide escalations with care, and ensure milestones are met within agreed performance expectations. Your commitment to quality and continuous improvement will help strengthen our ways of working and contribute to a thriving, safe, and customer centred field services ecosystem.
A bit about you
If this role resonates with you, you will likely bring deep telecommunications experience, ideally within network technology or carrier environments, and a confident understanding of construction‑related operational processes. You are someone who thrives in fast‑paced, high‑volume settings, someone who is agile and can work across multiple programs. Ideally this candidate has experience within field services and balancing competing priorities with calm judgement and a collaborative mindset. Experience working within a requestor team, tracking against budgets and monitoring spending is preferred but not a must. Your ability to analyse information, solve problems, and make sound decisions will support you in guiding complex work through to completion.
You communicate with clarity and empathy, building trusted relationships with stakeholders and delivery partners. You are comfortable navigating detailed standards, commercial obligations, and operational frameworks, and you take pride in ensuring accuracy and accountability in every step of the process. Your attention to detail, quality focus, and familiarity with GIS tools will help you bring precision to your work, while your proactive approach to identifying risks and opportunities will support continuous improvement across the programs you steward. Above all, you are motivated by purpose, teamwork, and the chance to help deliver better experiences for the communities nbn serves.
