Lone Star Tire & Axle is a fast-growing, customer-focused company known for quality, reliability, and exceptional service. As we continue to expand, we’re looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable (AR) Clerk / Specialist to join our team. We pride ourselves on a supportive, family-style office culture with very low turnover.

Position Overview

This is a full-time, in-office position with no remote option.
Schedule:

• Mon–Thurs: 6:30 AM – 4:00 PM
• Fri: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM

A minimum of 3+ years of direct Accounts Receivable experience is required (non-negotiable).

You will work closely with multiple divisions and play a key role in maintaining organized and accurate AR records as the company grows.

Responsibilities

• Enter customer invoices and payments into the accounting system
• Process customer payments, refunds, and account adjustments
• Reconcile outstanding AR balances and identify discrepancies
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer files, including invoices and payment history
• Research and resolve customer questions or account issues
• Assist with month-end close, including inventory reconciliation
• Support additional accounting tasks across multiple divisions
• Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience with QuickBooks, Sage, or other major accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applications
• Knowledge of GL reporting and applying deposits to customer invoices
• Ability to reconcile AR reports
• Strong commitment to customer service and relationship management
• Ability to work collaboratively, handle pressure, and meet tight deadlines
• High school diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications (Move You to the Top of the List)

• Prior experience in manufacturing or inventory-based environments
• Business degree or accounting coursework
• Experience working in a multi-division or multi-state company
• Month-end close experience, including reconciliations and reporting
• Experience with multi-state sales tax reporting and filing

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
