Aged Care Worker

-Key responsibilities:

- Assist residents with daily personal care such as bathing, dressing, toileting and feeding.

-Help residents move around, including turning and repositioning bedridden individuals.

-Support residents with meals and hydration, including feeding if necessary.

-Take and record vital signs as necessary.

-Observe and report any changes in residents condition accordingly.

-Maintain accurate resident patient records and documentation.

-Provide emotional support and companionship to residents as required.

-Assist with admissions, transfer and discharge of residents.

-Keep residents rooms and equipment clean and organized.

-Follow infection control procedures and maintain health and safety standards.

Skills and Qualities:

-Compassionate, patient, and empathetic.

-Good communication and interpersonal skills.

-Ability to work as part of a team.

- Basic understanding of hygiene, health and safety.

-Physically fit and capable of handling manual tasks.

Qualifications:

-Previous experience in a care setting is beneficial but not always required.

-First aid certificate and other trainings are advantageous.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Casual

Pay: $25.00 – $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week
