BRCC is seeking a Biology faculty member to teach courses within traditional classroom, hybrid, HyFlex,and online instructional environments with a focus on a strong pedagogical approach and quality student learning assessments.

The position also includes participation in institutional development such as service and leadership on college committees, academic advising, and mentoring adjunct faculty within the discipline. Blue Ridge Community College faculty are expected to participate in scholarly engagement, professional development which includes teaching pedagogy, institutional responsibility, and community service to both the campus and surrounding communities.

Candidates selected for interview will be required to facilitate a teaching demonstration as part of the interview process.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Biology with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in core Biology content
  • Dedication to teaching
  • Understanding of the community college mission and environment
Additional Considerations:
  • Higher education teaching experience
  • Use of instructional technologies
  • Experience delivering online instruction
