Casual Fryer / Kitchen Hand & Phone Operator

Golden Star Fish & Chips in Cheltenham is looking for a casual team member to join our busy kitchen team.

This role involves a mix of fryer work, kitchen support, answering phone orders, packing orders, checking orders, basic food preparation and cleaning during service.

We are looking for someone with previous kitchen experience, fish and chip shop experience, or experience working in a fast-paced environment. The right person needs to be reliable, quick to learn, able to work well under pressure, and comfortable working in a busy kitchen.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday night availability is required. Other shifts may also be available, including lunch to afternoon shifts.

The role includes:

• Frying food and helping with kitchen service
• Answering phone orders
• Packing and checking orders
• Basic food preparation
• Cleaning and keeping the work area organised
• Working as part of a fast-paced team

We are looking for someone who:

• Has previous kitchen experience or fast-paced work experience
• Is reliable, punctual and willing to learn
• Can stay calm, focused and organised during busy service periods
• Can communicate clearly with customers and team members
• Is physically fit and able to stand for long periods
• Can safely handle fryer baskets, food trays and stock as required
• Is available Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights
• Lives locally or has reliable transport
• Has the right to work in Australia

This is a casual position, with hours depending on availability and business needs.

Pay and conditions are in accordance with the Fast Food Industry Award for casual employees.
