Position Overview

As a Chick-fil-A Delivery Driver, you are more than just a driver—you are an extension of our restaurant and our brand. Delivery Drivers are expected to uphold Chick-fil-A's standards both inside and outside the restaurant while representing our team with professionalism, courtesy, and integrity.

Independent, Reliable & Trustworthy

Delivery Drivers spend much of their shift working independently, making trust and accountability essential. Team members are expected to:

• Follow all Chick-fil-A procedures and restaurant policies.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
• Deliver exceptional guest service using Chick-fil-A's Core 4.
• Handle guest concerns professionally and appropriately.
• Represent the Chick-fil-A brand positively at all times.
• Refrain from smoking or engaging in any behavior that reflects negatively on the restaurant while on the clock.

Team Player

Although Delivery Drivers spend time on the road, they are still an important part of the restaurant team. Team members should:

• Communicate effectively with the kitchen and front-of-house team.
• Assist wherever needed during downtime.
• Contribute to the overall success of the restaurant, not just the delivery department.

Productive

When deliveries are slow, Delivery Drivers are expected to remain productive by taking initiative without being directed. Responsibilities may include:

• Cleaning and organizing delivery cubes.
• Ensuring delivery equipment is clean, organized, and properly plugged in.
• Stocking the delivery staging area.
• Assisting with bagging and preparing guest orders.
• Changing E-Quad batteries.
• Cleaning delivery vehicles and equipment.
• Supporting restaurant operations wherever needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver guest orders safely, accurately, and on time.
• Provide exceptional hospitality during every guest interaction.
• Protect food quality during transportation.
• Follow all traffic laws and company safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
• Complete assigned downtime tasks when deliveries are unavailable.
• Communicate effectively with restaurant leadership and team members.

Work Expectations

E-Quad Operation

Delivery Drivers are expected to operate Chick-fil-A E-Quads once they become available.

Personal vehicles may be used temporarily during the initial rollout; however, operating an E-Quad will become a required responsibility of the position. Team members who are unwilling or unable to operate an E-Quad will not be eligible for this role.

Weather Conditions

Delivery Drivers are expected to complete deliveries during various weather conditions, including rain, while following all safety guidelines.

Driving Record Monitoring

All Delivery Drivers participate in ongoing driving record monitoring through SambaSafety. Drivers must maintain an acceptable driving record throughout their employment.

Vehicle Monitoring

Company delivery vehicles are equipped with telematics technology that monitors vehicle safety, operational standards, and compliance with company policies. Tampering with monitoring equipment or failing to follow restaurant policies may result in disciplinary action.

Downtime Expectations

When deliveries are unavailable, drivers are expected to remain productive inside the restaurant.

Examples of unacceptable behavior include:

• Sitting in a personal vehicle while on the clock.
• Running personal errands during work hours.
• Leaving the restaurant without authorization.
• Remaining idle when productive tasks are available.

Technology Requirements

Delivery Drivers are required to:

• Download and maintain all required restaurant applications.
• Have access to their Chick-fil-A account credentials.
• Successfully set up and test all required delivery applications before their first scheduled delivery shift.
• Complete all required onboarding and training assignments.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license.
• Clean and acceptable driving record.
• Reliable transportation (until E-Quads become primary delivery vehicles).
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Availability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
