Child Care Assistant Teacher

Job Summary

Join our early childhood education team as a Child Care Assistant Teacher! In this role, you will support the development and well-being of young children by assisting lead teachers in creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment. Duties

• Support classroom activities that promote childhood development, including play-based learning and structured lessons.
• Assist with supervising children during daily routines such as mealtime, nap time, outdoor play, and transitions.
• Implement child supervision strategies to ensure safety and well-being at all times.
• Help maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behaviors, and daily experiences.
• Follow all health and safety protocols, including pediatric first aid and CPR procedures when necessary.
• Support teachers in managing classroom behavior through positive reinforcement and behavior management techniques.

Experience

• Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
• Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
• Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid is highly desirable.
• Previous nannying or babysitting experience that demonstrates responsibility and caregiving skills is beneficial.
• Strong communication skills for parent interactions and teamwork within the classroom environment.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
