Children's Day Camp - Art Director

We are looking for a creative, energetic, and organized Art Director to join our summer day camp team at Bedford Golf and Tennis Club!

Position Overview:
The Art Director will be responsible for designing, leading, and teaching engaging daily art classes for campers ages 4–11. Lessons should be fun, age-appropriate, and often centered around creative themes. This is a leadership role—you will guide the program, manage supplies, and direct counselors who assist during each session.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and lead daily art projects for multiple age groups (ages 4–11)
• Develop creative, theme-based lessons that are fun and accessible for all skill levels
• Manage and organize art materials and workspace
• Supervise and direct counselors assisting in classes
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment for all campers
• Take initiative and adapt activities based on group needs and energy levels

Schedule:

• Camp Dates: Monday, June 29 – Friday, July 31
• Orientation: Friday, June 26
• Hours: 8:30 AM – 3:15 PM (Monday–Friday)

Qualifications:

• Experience working with children (camp, school, or similar setting)
• Background or interest in art/creative education preferred
• Leadership skills and the ability to manage a group independently
• Organized, flexible, and enthusiastic
• Ability to collaborate with staff while taking ownership of the art program
