Compliance Manager

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Compliance Manager, you will join a team of compliance specialists based across Europe, with the role located in either Sweden or Malta.

You will work across a broad range of compliance projects impacting the customer journey, helping ensure the business operates in line with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

The role requires a pragmatic, solutions-oriented approach to compliance, balancing regulatory risk with operational and commercial needs.

YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Oversee compliance within assigned markets and support a strong culture of compliance across the business.
  • Interpret regulatory requirements and translate them into practical guidance, policies, procedures, and operational controls.
  • Support business areas across Responsible Gambling, AML/CFT, KYC, fraud prevention, customer complaints, regulatory proceedings, and marketing compliance.
  • Monitor regulatory developments, identify risks and improvement opportunities, and support implementation of regulatory changes.
  • Conduct compliance reviews, audits, monitoring, and gap analyses across websites, processes, and customer journeys.
  • Support licensing applications, regulatory reporting, and engagements with regulators.
  • Prepare compliance reporting and maintain governance documentation and audit trails.
  • Work closely with Legal, AML, Operations, Product, Technical Compliance, and Commercial teams to ensure regulatory alignment.
  • Provide pragmatic compliance advice and constructive challenge to stakeholders.
  • Support additional compliance projects and initiatives as required.

OUR SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING:

  • Experience within a compliance role in a regulated industry, preferably iGaming or financial services.
  • Strong understanding of AML/CFT, KYC, Responsible Gambling, fraud prevention, and marketing compliance.
  • Ability to interpret and apply complex regulatory requirements in a practical and commercially balanced way.
  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused, and commercially aware mindset.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

  • Experience working with regulatory frameworks, policies, and compliance processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and risk assessment skills.
  • Ability to draft policies, procedures, guidance, and regulatory submissions.
  • Ability to simplify complex legal and regulatory requirements into operational solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate documentation and audit trails.
  • Confidence working autonomously and collaborating across multiple teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting/documentation tools.

NICE TO HAVES

  • Experience dealing directly with gambling regulators and regulatory audits.
  • Experience with Swedish, Danish, or Finnish gambling regulation.
  • Understanding of project management and governance processes.
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, or similar workflow tools.
  • Additional language skills, particularly Swedish, Danish, or Finnish.
  • Experience supporting licensing applications or market expansion projects.
