The CSA Design Lead will work closely with multidisciplinary teams including Electrical, Mechanical, BIM, Production, and Project Management to ensure Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) packages are coordinated, buildable, and delivered to a high standard. The successful candidate will play a key role from concept design through to fabrication and installation, supporting fast-paced modular construction projects in Ireland and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and coordinate Civil, Structural and Architectural (CSA) designs for modular buildings and associated infrastructure
- Produce and review drawings, layouts, details, schedules, and technical documentation
- Coordinate with Electrical, Mechanical, BIM, and Production teams to ensure integration across all disciplines
- Review design information for constructability, clashes, sequencing, and manufacturing feasibility
- Support project planning, technical reviews, RFIs, and design queries throughout project delivery
- Liaise with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients regarding CSA requirements
- Ensure designs comply with relevant Irish, European, and international building regulations and standards
- Assist with structural steel, cladding, roofing, architectural finishes, and external works coordination
- Support quality, commissioning, snagging, and handover processes
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical input throughout the project lifecycle
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within design and engineering processes
Requirements
- Degree or qualification in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Technology, Construction Engineering, or related discipline
- Experience in CSA design, structural coordination, or construction engineering
- Experience within modular construction, data centres, industrial, manufacturing, or M&E environments would be advantageous
- Strong understanding of construction drawings, technical detailing, and building systems
- Experience using AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, or other relevant design/BIM software
- Good understanding of Irish building regulations and construction standards
- Strong communication and coordination skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced project environment and manage multiple priorities
Desirable
- Experience working on data centre or mission-critical projects
- Knowledge of off-site manufacturing or modular construction processes
- Experience coordinating with fabrication or production teams
- Familiarity with BIM workflows and multidisciplinary model coordination
