Desktop Analyst Intern

Position Purpose:

Provide Desktop support to Saint Anthony Hospital employees, and to provide support for troubleshooting basic Network support to the Network Team.

Essential Functions (list in order of importance including measures)

• Move, add and deploy desktop, laptop, Chromebook and tablets per deployment/migration and disposal instructions.

• Assist in the diagnose of and solution to network issues.

• Assist with the management of security software maintenance.

• Assist and maintain the daily desktop, laptop, and server support.

• Manage and further develop secure remote access management for all employees.

Marginal Functions (list in order of importance)

• Performs both essential and marginal job functions in a safe manner as identified by Saint Anthony Hospital and the respective department while adhering to the Hospital’s confidentiality norms and standards. Actively and consistently demonstrates the core values of Saint Anthony Hospital and Ascension Health in all interactions with others.

• Assumes responsibility for knowing and maintaining established hospital and departmental objectives, policies/procedures including general sanitation, safety, environmental and infection control standards.

• Participates in performance activities including problem identification, data collection, solution selection, implementation and evaluation. Also assists in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies as appropriate.

• Participates in staff meetings and other inservices, meetings or committees as required.

• Internship requires no experience in the technology field, but a candidate should hold an interest of learning and developing skills in the IT field.
• The ability to multitask and manage work on several different projects.
• Take daily direction of tasks at hand and report back to the Senior Desktop Analyst and Director of IT.
