Mendi is a Swedish neurotechnology and health‑tech company that develops a consumer‑focused brain training system combining a wearable headband with a mobile app to help users improve focus, emotional regulation, stress management, and overall mental well‑being. Its device uses functional near‑infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS) to measure real‑time activity in the prefrontal cortex and translates neural signals into engaging neurofeedback exercises, enabling everyday brain training previously confined to clinical settings.

Job Description (Mendi -Director of Marketing & Communications)

Core Purpose

You are responsible for building and scaling the entire brand and marketing function of the company.

This is a top-level leadership role (part of the management team).

Main Responsibilities

1. Strategy & Leadership

Develop and execute full marketing strategy

Define and grow the brand identity

Align marketing with company goals and growth plans

Manage budgets and long-term planning

2. Team Management

Lead and grow a marketing team

Oversee specialists in:

Social media

Content

PR

Performance marketing

Hire and mentor staff

3. Brand & Communication

Control all customer-facing communication

Manage:

Advertising

Public relations (PR)

Influencer marketing

Community engagement

Build Mendi into a global brand

4. Growth & Performance

Drive:

Brand awareness

User acquisition

Customer engagement

Analyze data and improve campaigns

Work closely with:

Product

Engineering

Sales teams

5. Cross-functional Work

Collaborate across departments

Ensure marketing supports:

Product launches

Customer experience

Revenue growth

Requirements

Typical requirements include:

5-10+ years in marketing leadership

Experience as:

Marketing Director / CMO

Strong skills in:

Digital marketing

Branding

PR & communications

Startup experience (very important at Mendi)

Data-driven mindset + leadership ability.
