We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our team and drive growth, retention, and long term customer success. In this role, you’ll own a portfolio of customers, strengthen relationships, unlock new opportunities, and ensure every client receives an exceptional Vocus experience.
Reporting to the State Manager you’ll collaborate closely with our delivery, service, and product teams. This is a hybrid role (2 days per week in the office) with occasional customer travel.
What you’ll be doing
- Own the strategic management of assigned customer accounts, including account planning, relationship development, and delivering on retention and growth objectives.
- Build long term account strategies that address client needs and identify upsell and cross sell opportunities.
- Nurture and expand relationships with key customer stakeholders through regular business reviews and value add engagements.
- Own the renewal process, proactively addressing risks, negotiating terms, and preventing churn.
- Drive additional sales within accounts—new product adoption, upgrades, and solution expansions—partnering with pre sales where required.
- Lead and coordinate resolution of service or support escalations, working with operational and support teams to maintain customer confidence.
- Achieve or exceed retention and expansion targets, accurately forecasting growth and monitoring revenue performance across your account base.
- Maintain accurate CRM data at all times, including account insights, opportunity pipelines, engagement history, and forecast notes.
- Deliver exceptional experiences to customers while upholding Vocus values.
- Engage effectively with internal teams to ensure seamless customer support and outcomes.
- 4+ years’ experience in enterprise or mid market account management.
- Strong capability in account planning, including white space identification and expansion planning.
- Proven experience managing C suite or Government stakeholders with confidence and professionalism.
- Strong commercial acumen, including contract renewals, pricing discussions, and commercial governance.
- Demonstrated success in driving cross sell/upsell opportunities and building healthy pipelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Expert-level presentation skills, able to engage senior stakeholders and articulate value effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
