Event Childcare Assistant

We are seeking reliable and engaging Assistants to support the delivery of structured childcare at weddings and private events across Perth.

You will work as part of a team led by a Team Leader, helping create a safe, calm, and well managed environment for children while parents enjoy their event.

This is a hands-on role suited to individuals who are confident with children, proactive, and able to follow direction in a fast paced event setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the supervision of children in a group setting
• Support the delivery of games, activities, and quiet/wind-down routines
• Help maintain a safe, calm, and organised environment
• Follow direction from the Team Leader at all times
• Assist with setup and pack-down of activity areas
• Engage positively with children of different ages
• Maintain awareness of safety, behaviour, and group dynamics

What We’re Looking For

• Friendly, patient, and able to engage with different personalities
• Able to take direction and work as part of a team
• Calm and composed in busy or unfamiliar environments
• Available for evenings and weekends

Requirements

• Valid Working With Children Check (WA)
• First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain)
• Reliable transport to travel to venues across Perth
• Willingness to work evenings and late-night events

Pay

• $30 – $34/hr (day events) + super
• $34 – $38/hr (evenings / weddings) + super
• +$10/hr loading between 12:00am – 6:00am

All roles are casual and paid per confirmed shift (no guaranteed hours).

Important

This is not a standalone babysitting role.

You will be working as part of a team and must be comfortable following structured processes and direction from a Team Leader.

Pay: $30.00 – $48.00 per hour
