Facilities Maintenance & Cleaning

Job Summary

We are looking for a reliable and proactive Facilities Maintenance & Cleaning professional to keep our workspaces safe, clean, and well-maintained. In this role, you'll be responsible for ensuring that all areas are tidy, hygienic, and functioning smoothly. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and experienced in various cleaning and maintenance tasks. Your efforts will help create a welcoming environment for staff and visitors alike, supporting overall operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties across all facilities, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Handle chemical agents safely while performing cleaning tasks, following proper protocols for storage and disposal.
• Operate floor buffers and other equipment to ensure floors are polished and well-maintained.
• Conduct custodial tasks such as window cleaning, restroom sanitation, and surface disinfection to uphold hygiene standards.
• Assist with general facilities maintenance including light repairs, manual handling of heavy items, and ensuring equipment is in good working order.
• Support industrial cleaning projects when needed, using appropriate tools and safety procedures.
• Follow safe lifting practices during heavy lifting tasks to prevent injuries and ensure workplace safety.

Qualifications

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience is highly desirable; experience in commercial or industrial cleaning is a plus.
• Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemical handling, and safety regulations related to facilities maintenance.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and the use of cleaning machinery like floor buffers.
• Familiarity with basic maintenance work such as minor repairs or troubleshooting equipment issues.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and safety standards.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues effectively.
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
