Position: Fast Food Cook

Number of Positions Available: 3
Location: Waihi Beach, Western Bay of Plenty
Pay Rate: $27 to $32 per hour
Minimum Hours of Work Per Week: 30
Maximum Hours of Work Per Week: 40

Key Requirements:

• Minimum 6 months of experience OR a Level 3 or higher qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare, cook, and serve fast food items including burgers, fried snacks, seafood, and grilled items

• Follow standard recipes and portion sizes to ensure consistency

• Set up and clean workstations, equipment, and cooking areas

• Operate deep fryers, grills, ovens, and other cooking equipment

• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety

• Monitor stock levels and assist in stock rotation and ordering supplies

• Handle customer orders quickly and accurately in collaboration with front-of-house staff

• Package food appropriately for takeaway and dine-in customers

• Assist in developing specials or new menu items as needed

• Dispose of waste responsibly and follow recycling procedures

• Ensure kitchen complies with all local council food safety and cleanliness regulations

• Support senior cooks or kitchen supervisors in daily operations

• Participate in team briefings and maintain a positive working environment
