Fire Safety Technician

Levitt-Safety has an exciting opportunity for an experienced, hands-on technician to join our team as a Service Technician – Vehicle Fire Suppression Systems in Thunder Bay.
In this role, you’ll be trusted to work independently in the field, represent Levitt-Safety at customer sites, and play a critical role in keeping people, equipment, and operations safe. If you’re mechanically inclined, safety-driven, and enjoy being the go-to expert customers rely on, this is a role where your work truly matters.

What you'll do:
Your day-to-day work will be varied, hands-on, and customer-facing, including:

• Inspecting, servicing, repairing, and maintaining vehicle fire suppression systems and other Fire & Life Safety equipment
• Conducting life safety inspections and audits, identifying risks, and providing value-added recommendations for follow-up and preventative maintenance
• Delivering site-specific training for equipment owners and end users
• Working independently at customer sites while staying connected to a supportive technical team
• Acting as the face of Levitt-Safety, building strong relationships through professionalism, clear communication, and reliability
• Completing service documentation accurately using mobile technology
• Frequent overnight or extended travel (about 50%) to customer locations, as required

What you bring:

• Hands-on mechanical experience with vehicles or motorized equipment
• Strong mechanical aptitude with basic electrical knowledge; comfortable using hand and power tools
• Fire suppression system experience considered a strong asset
• Comfortable working in underground mining environments
• Safety-first mindset with sound judgment in the field
• Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach
• Able to work independently while contributing as a team player
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract; ability to pass pre-employment security, drug, and alcohol testing
• Comfortable using mobile technology for reporting and documentation
• Willing and able to travel frequently out of town
