Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role located in the Greater Pittsburgh Region for a Field Technician. This role involves operating an air-vac truck and supporting underground utility projects in various outdoor environments. This job requires extended travel, physical stamina, and the ability to work efficiently as part of a team.

Requirements (Varies by Level):

• Ability to lift 70 lbs and perform physical labor in varying weather conditions
• Strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and teamwork
• Willingness to travel for extended periods
• Basic computer skills (for digital paperwork and record-keeping)
• Knowledge of ELDs (Electronic Logging Devices) preferred
• Mechanical aptitude for routine truck maintenance
• Clear communication and problem-solving skills

Field Technician 4 – Entry-Level (No CDL / No Experience Required)

Qualifications:

• No experience required
• No CDL required
• Willingness to learn and follow safety protocols

Additional Responsibilities:

• Assist experienced technicians on job sites
• Learn to operate tools such as clay spades and vacuum hoses
• Support setup and cleanup of job sites
• Participate in on-the-job training for safe equipment handling and operations

Field Technician 3 – (No CDL / 6+ Months Experience)

Qualifications:

• Minimum 6 months of field or construction experience
• No CDL required (CDL training may be offered)
• Basic understanding of safety practices and job site operations

Additional Responsibilities:

• Operate handheld tools and assist with vacuum excavation
• Support truck operators with hose handling and setup
• Help complete site paperwork and safety logs
• Begin training on Air Vac operations and ELD compliance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $29.00 per hour
