Guest Experience Host
Fiddle + Bow Collection
Doolin, Co. Clare
In-person role
About the Role
Living and working in Doolin offers something rare — stunning surroundings, a strong sense of community, and a slower pace outside of peak hours. We’re looking for a Guest Experience Host to join the front-of-house team at the Fiddle + Bow Collection, someone who enjoys people, takes pride in service, and values balance alongside meaningful work.
This role goes beyond a traditional receptionist position. You’ll be the first hello and last goodbye, helping guests feel genuinely welcome across our hotel, lodges, and cottages — while being part of a supportive, close-knit team in one of Ireland’s most beautiful locations.
Who We Are
Established in 2019, the Fiddle + Bow Collection is a growing hospitality group based entirely in Doolin. The collection includes:
- A 13-bedroom luxury hotel
- 36 self-catering lodgings
- Russells Bar, Russells Fish Shop, and The Rocket House
We’re proud to be locally rooted, quality-led, and experience-driven. We aim to deliver world-class hospitality in a way that feels personal, thoughtful, and relaxed — for guests and staff alike.
What You’ll Be Doing
Guest Welcome & Experience
- Create a warm, relaxed sense of arrival at check-in and a genuine farewell at check-out
- Welcome resident and non-resident guests and assist with questions or requests
- Act as a friendly point of contact throughout a guest’s stay
- Offer local knowledge, directions, and recommendations for activities and experiences
Front Desk & Communication
- Answer phones and manage guest enquiries professionally and efficiently
- Handle room and restaurant reservations
- Ensure billing and guest accounts are accurate
- Manage emails and general front desk administration
Operations & Teamwork
- Work closely with housekeeping to ensure rooms are prepared and ready for arrivals
- Support smooth daily operations across the hotel, lodges, and cottages
- Complete general administrative tasks as required
- Assist with any reasonable duties that support guest experience and team success
This Role Is Ideal for Someone Who
- Enjoys working with people and creating positive experiences
- Values a healthy work–life balance in a unique coastal location
- Is organised, calm, and friendly under pressure
- Can work independently while also being a strong team player
- Has experience in customer service or hospitality (helpful, but not essential)
- Is comfortable using computers and booking systems
What We Offer
- A welcoming, supportive workplace culture
- A lifestyle-friendly role in one of Ireland’s most scenic villages
- Competitive salary
- Flexible scheduling
- Competitive holiday programme
- 25% discount on food & beverage across the Collection
- 25% discount on rooms across the Collection
