Sharkey's Cuts For Kids is a small business in BEAUTY and WELLNESS. We are fun, fast-paced, and customer-centric.

Duties:

• Welcome clients to the salon
• Wash, rinse, and dry clients’ hair using appropriate shampoos and conditioners
• Cut, trim, and shave hair using professional equipment
• Style hair, including blowouts, curls, braids, ponytails, and updos
• Create hairstyles for formal events and everyday looks, including braids, ponytails, and buns
• Educate clients and promote other salon services
• Emphasize professional hair product benefits and assist clients in the selection of retail products for their hair care needs
• Form bonds with loyal customers and remember their hairstyle preferences

A hairstylist, in addition to these regular activities like cutting hair, may from time to time be required to fulfill other tasks not generally associated just with the cutting and styling of hair.

• Watch out for the safety and health of clients by applying standards of the hair salon and legal regulations
• Maintain hygiene and cleanliness in the salon (e.g. sterilize tools)
• Schedules clients, cancel by the request of clients, and assures customers that they will receive adequate service on time
• Assist with salon inventory management
• Proactively develop new clients

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $28.00 - $38.00 per hour
