Infant Teacher Assistant

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Infant Teacher Assistant to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this role, you will support lead teachers in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for infants and toddlers. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help foster early development, ensuring each child feels valued and empowered to explore their world. Duties

  • Assist lead teachers in implementing daily activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development of infants and toddlers
  • Support in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment tailored to young children’s needs
  • Engage with children through play, reading, singing, and other interactive activities that encourage learning and curiosity
  • Help monitor children’s health and safety by following proper diapering, feeding, and hygiene procedures
  • Observe and document individual progress and behaviors to inform teaching strategies and communicate with parents or guardians as needed
  • Support classroom management by encouraging positive behavior and helping children develop routines and self-regulation skills
  • Assist with preparing materials, setting up learning stations, and participating in staff meetings or training sessions

Skills

  • Knowledge of childhood development principles specific to infants and toddlers
  • Experience working with young children in daycare, preschool, or nannying settings
  • Strong understanding of early childhood education best practices
  • Ability to implement behavior management techniques with patience and empathy
  • First aid certification preferred; CPR training is a plus
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is advantageous
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members and engaging with families
  • Classroom experience in childcare or early childhood education environments

Pay: $14.75 - $15.75 per hour
