Intern

The drug-product process modelling team in Worldwide R & D, Pfizer seeks a Summer Intern (PG level) to support the team to develop new Machine Learning/ Generative AI Models. In this role the successful candidate will play a crucial part in supporting us in the digital evolution by harnessing the power of generative AI technology and developing department wide applications. The candidate will possess a deep understanding of generative model architecture for language and computer vision tasks, as well as the cutting-edge insight retrieval techniques. Additionally, a strong interest in pharmaceutical sciences and technology is highly desirable. This role will collaborate with colleagues across all different departments of our organizations to develop and implement AI solutions to enhance our process workflows and knowledge systems. The Pfizer AI/ML ecosystem is in a rapid growth phase, and we anticipate the selected candidate will be part of enhancing the impact of AI/ML within Pfizer, both by direct application to the portfolio, but also through technology and tool development. This may include advancing new technology for domain specific language and vision models, information retrieval, and machine learning, amongst others. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone interested in continuous development of their skills in these and related areas. QUALIFICATIONS

• Actively registered in M.Tech program at IIT Madras with available project credits
• Proficiency in Machine learning and Generative AI models
• Proficiency in python packages such as tensor flow, pytorch etc.

Benefit to Organization The intern will aid in delivering value to Pfizer’s product pipeline by contributing to AI models and development of new tools. The interns will share their learnings across the broader R&D organization. Benefit to Intern The intern will get a chance to apply fundamental engineering principles in the context of pharmaceutical drug product research and development. The intern will also focus their programming experience towards development of Generative AI tools and related solutions for the PMET team.
