IT Support Engineer
Overview Provide technical support and maintain reliable end-user computing, network, and systems services. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues; onboard/offboard employees; and improve IT processes and documentation.
Key responsibilities
- Provide first- and second-line support for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, printers, and peripheral hardware.
- Troubleshoot OS (Windows, macOS, Linux) and common productivity software (Office 365, Google Workspace), VPNs, and web/app access.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, groups, and single sign-on (Active Directory/Azure AD/Okta) and handle password resets and MFA support.
- Install, configure, and maintain endpoints, software, and device imaging/MDM (Intune, Jamf, MobileIron).
- Support local and remote network troubleshooting (Wi‑Fi, switches, routers) and basic LAN diagnostics.
- Assist with AV setup and support for meeting rooms and collaboration tools (Zoom, Teams).
- Maintain IT inventory, asset lifecycle management, and procurement coordination.
- Implement and follow IT security best practices: patch management, antivirus, endpoint protection, and vulnerability remediation.
- Create and maintain runbooks, troubleshooting guides, and user-facing documentation/KB articles.
- Coordinate with vendors and escalate complex issues to third-line or external support when needed.
- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support and incident response.
- Contribute to IT projects: onboarding/offboarding automation, system upgrades, migrations, and process improvements.
Required qualifications
- 2+ years experience in IT support, help desk, or desktop support roles.
- Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS desktop administration; familiarity with Linux is a plus.
- Experience with Active Directory/Azure AD, Office 365/G Suite administration, and SSO/MFA troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience with MDM/device management (Intune, Jamf) and imaging tools (SCCM, DEP, Autopkg).
- Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN) and experience troubleshooting Wi‑Fi and LAN issues.
- Familiarity with common helpdesk ticketing systems (Jira Service Management, ServiceNow, Zendesk).
- Good communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to non-technical users.
- Strong problem-solving, time-management, and customer-service orientation.
Preferred qualifications
- Certifications: CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+, Microsoft 365 Certified, Apple ACSP, or similar.
- Experience with scripting/automation (PowerShell, Bash) for admin tasks.
- Knowledge of cloud admin portals (Azure, AWS console) and basic IAM.
- Prior experience supporting remote and hybrid work setups and collaboration tools.
- Familiarity with IT asset management and procurement workflows.
Pay: $5,835.22 – $7,593.44 per month
