JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Manager is responsible in supervising and leading all the maintenance processes and operations. The Maintenance Manager creates and implements maintenance procedures and ensures that all machinery are well maintained to ensure it’s at working standards.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops, implements, and monitors maintenance procedures to ensure operational efficiency and equipment reliability.
- Tracks expenses and oversees the budget for maintenance in order to meet set objectives, including but not limited to assigning of repair schedules and evaluation of repair cost estimates
- Conducts regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems to ensure smooth operations as well as designing and implementing programs for effective maintenance operations.
- Plans and manages all repair, maintenance, and installation activities.
- Ensures all department employees adhere to the safety policies and procedures.
- Maintains, documents and prepares daily progress reports and maintenance logs, and updates the management regularly on status.
- Keeps detailed records of the repairs done on each individual machine for effective tracking of repairs.
- Monitors equipment stocks and inventory. Places orders to suppliers when necessary.
- Inspects electrical and mechanical systems of buildings to ensure functionality as well as to identify operational inefficiency and facilitate optimization. Also, diagnoses specific machine malfunctions by operating, testing and inspecting the affected equipment to assist in troubleshooting complex problems
- Plans repair work using maintenance manuals, schematic diagrams, drawings and blueprints.
- Allocates workload and supervises maintenance staff and ensures staff productivity.
- Conducts negotiations with third party contractors to determine rates and terms of service.
- Hires and trains maintenance employees to carry out specialized duties and tracks staff productivity
- Performs periodic maintenance and routine calibration of mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
- Manages the process of disposal of worn out and damaged machinery as well as the installation of new equipment.
- Conducts risk assessments to identify possible hazards around the farm premises.
- Determines how to correct mechanical problems by referring to blueprints, parts catalogs and repair manuals whenever major problems arise.
- Performs other duties time to time as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
- A graduate of BS Electrical Engineering
- Professional License is an advantage
Required Skills:
- Extensive knowledge and skills in all maintenance procedures and electrical and mechanical works
- Knowledge in using Microsoft Applications
Experience Required:
- At least 3-5 years of responsible related experience
