Manufacturing Operator

O’ Connor Woodwork Solutions is a family run, fourth generation carpentry and joinery company. We specialize in the design and manufacture of joinery for commercial fit outs.

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Manufacturing Operator to join our team in Limerick.

The successful candidate will assemble kitchen and other fitted furniture for a range of commercial projects. Current projects include schools, primary care centres, and office fit-outs.

This is an excellent opportunity to move into the woodwork industry and to be part of a growing business. Training will be provided on woodwork and CNC machinery.

Responsibilities

• Follow detailed work instructions to manufacture high quality fitted furniture.
• Work on machines including edge banders, beam saws, and CNC.
• Complete production training.
• Adhere to company procedures and all manufacturing documentation.
• Achieve daily and weekly production targets while ensuring product quality.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with your team.
• Adhere to all Environmental, Health and Safety requirements in accordance with company Policies.

What we’re looking for

• Solid work history including 2 -3 years hands-on experience on a manufacturing line.
• Leaving certificate or equivalent.
• High level of organisational skills, strong attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to maintain focus.
• Evidence of learning new skills.
• Proven ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive, proactive attitude with a commitment to learning and teamwork.
• Fluency in both written and spoken English.
• The following experience is a plus but not essential as training is given:
• Woodwork, cabinet making or carpentry
• Quality control/packing of a finished product
