Medical Billing Specialist (Ar / Denials)

We’re hiring a Medical Billing Specialist focused on A/R follow-up, denial resolution, and payment posting.

You’ll be responsible for working claims from submission through payment, resolving issues that delay reimbursement, and ensuring accurate posting. This role works in Tebra and SimplePractice and is production-focused with clear expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Follow up on unpaid claims via payer portals and phone calls
• Resolve common denials (eligibility, COB, duplicates, demographics, POS)
• Rebill corrected claims and track claim status
• Post payments using ERAs, EOBs, and manual entries
• Work aging A/R, including legacy balances
• Document all actions clearly in trackers
• Manage and resolve billing tickets

Requirements

• 3+ years of US healthcare billing experience
• Strong A/R follow-up and denial resolution experience
• Experience posting payments (ERAs/EOBs)
• Experience with EHR systems (Tebra and/or SimplePractice preferred)
• Familiarity with payer portals (e.g., Availity)
• Strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working CST hours

Preferred

• Behavioral health billing experience
• Experience with Medicare, Tricare, and PPO plans

Compensation
