Job Summary:
The Marketing/Communications/Development Operations Manager is part of a dynamic, high-performing internal marketing department that functions with energy, agility, and collaborative intensity. The position is integrated into a strategic, insight-driven, and outcomes-focused team, collaborating closely with peers across Communications, Creative, Digital & Web Strategy, and Development to support enterprise growth, clinical service line visibility, and community/philanthropic relationships. This individual is both a strategic architect and an operational leader and is expected to work collaboratively across functions, proactively contribute to cross-team initiatives, and uphold a standard of marketing excellence that supports Erlanger’s mission and goals. This individual plays a critical internal service role, supporting multi-disciplinary functions, executive leadership, and external-facing stakeholders by ensuring that interactions, processes, project management, and reporting are properly documented and stewarded.
Support the execution of Erlanger strategies through an operations lens, delivering communications architecture, process improvement, and team cohesiveness.- Ensure that plans developed by department leads and respective verticals are operationalized effectively and in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with Communications, Marketing, Creative, and Development teams to support branded materials and experiences through print and project management.
- Serve as Department's internal expert, collaborating with finance, compliance, and external vendors as needed.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased efficiency within development workflows.
- Provide training, documentation, and support to team members on data entry, reporting tools, and stewardship execution.
- Oversee administrative functions in support of SVP, and Director-level leadership
- Ensure reports, contracts, sponsorships, invoices and similar departmental support tasks are expedited accurately.
- Identify opportunities for clarity in communication, reporting, intuitive and innovative thinking.
- Serve as liaison to executive suite in collaborative fashion.
- Manage end-to-end gift processing workflows, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with fundraising regulations and internal policies.
- Coordinate gift acknowledgments, receipts, and tax documentation in collaboration with Foundation staff and leadership.
- Support segmentation, personalization, and delivery of stewardship communications across donor tiers.
- Maintain the Foundation's donor database (e.g., Raisers Edge, Salesforce), ensuring data cleanliness, donor record accuracy, and segmentation logic.
- Design and implement protocols for data entry, updates, contact management, and giving history tracking.
Education:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Systems, Nonprofit Management, or a related field
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in operations, administration, or development
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and cross-team communication skills
