Responsibilities

As an Optician, you will play a vital role in helping our patients look and see their very best by:

• Assisting patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit their prescription, lifestyle, and personal style.
• Taking precise measurements to ensure accurate lens fabrication and optimal eyewear fit.
• Educating patients on lens materials, specialty lenses, coatings, and treatment options.
• Adjusting, fitting, and repairing eyewear to maximize comfort and performance.
• Maintaining inventory of frames, contact lenses, and optical supplies.
• Providing exceptional customer service while creating a welcoming and positive patient experience.
• Collaborating with doctors and team members to ensure seamless patient care.
• Documenting patient information accurately within our electronic health record system.
• Performing other duties as needed to support the continued success of our practice.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• Previous experience as an Optician or in a similar optical role (required).
• Strong knowledge of ophthalmic lenses, frame fitting, coatings, and lens technologies.
• Familiarity with vision insurance, medical coding, and optical billing processes.
• Excellent communication and sales skills with a patient-first approach.
• Experience working with patients of all ages, including children, adults, and seniors.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Outstanding organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to teamwork.

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
