Paralegal - Defense Litigation

Spector Gadon Rosen Vinci P.C., a 30-attorney law firm based in Center City Philadelphia, is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal with minimum 3 years defense experience to join our Philadelphia team. With over 50 years of client service, our award-winning law firm is a community partner in the Philadelphia region with a dynamic team of entrepreneurial attorneys.

Compensation is commensurate with experience. Benefit options include medical (single coverage largely paid by firm), dental, vision, life insurance, 20 days PTO plus 10 holidays, and a 401(k) retirement plan.

Essential Functions include:

E-filing experience in PA and NJ required - federal and state

Deposition set up, noticing, scheduling court reporters, daily follow up with providers to obtain transcripts, medical records, etc.

Obtain information required to comply with subpoenas, request for production of documents, or other forms of pretrial discovery

Ensure timely responses to legal notices and subpoenas

Calendaring in Outlook - depositions, court hearings, deadlines, etc.

Significant document management experience, especially Microsoft Word formatting

Redaction/ Bates Stamping

Conflict checks, opening new files

Scanning, faxing, and organization of large volume of documents

Prepare, analyze and proofread summaries of documents and other records

Perform legal and non-legal research in litigation matters

Prepare medical chronologies

Maintain case management system assisting attorneys with organization and maintenance of documents

Assist attorneys with trial and deposition preparation

Other administrative duties as assigned

Key Competencies:

Proficiency in iManage or similar document management system required

Westlaw and Relativity experience preferred

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Meticulous attention to detail

Ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment

Regular, consistent and punctual attendance

Experience:
