Part-Time Experience Housekeeper

Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces using industry-standard cleaning techniques and equipment
• Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and proper handling procedures
• Conduct floor care tasks including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and carpet maintenance to ensure spotless surfaces
• Manage heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture, linens, or supplies efficiently and safely
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety
• Maintain cleanliness standards by completing custodial tasks such as trash removal, restocking supplies, and sanitizing high-touch areas
• Support hotel housekeeping management by assisting with inventory control, reporting maintenance issues, and ensuring compliance with health regulations

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong understanding of janitorial practices and industrial cleaning techniques
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling, safety data sheets (SDS), and proper use of cleaning equipment
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique to prevent injury
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management systems and hospitality industry standards
• Excellent attention to detail combined with a proactive attitude toward maintaining cleanliness and safety standards
• Strong communication skills to effectively follow instructions and collaborate with team members
• Prior experience with hotel emergency procedures is preferred but not required; training will be provided
