Personal Support Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and home care environments. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being and independence of clients, offering support with daily activities, medication management, and emotional care. Experience in senior care, hospice, or working with individuals with disabilities is highly valued. Duties

• Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
• Provide patient care including medication administration and health monitoring under supervision
• Support with meal preparation and feeding as needed
• Help clients with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and maintaining a safe environment
• Offer companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being
• Assist with transfers and heavy lifting to ensure safety for both clients and staff
• Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to supervisors
• Support clients with dementia or disabilities by implementing personalized care plans
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements

• Experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospice, or home care preferred
• Knowledge of patient care, dementia care, and medication administration
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting clients with mobility needs
• Compassionate attitude with excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Basic caregiving skills including meal preparation and light cleaning
• Prior experience working with seniors or individuals with disabilities is a plus
• Certification in caregiving or relevant healthcare training is advantageous but not mandatory
