Physical Therapist Assistant - Prn

Here at Sundance we are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this role, you will work closely with licensed physical therapists to provide high-quality care to patients recovering from injuries, surgeries, or managing chronic conditions. Your expertise in patient care and knowledge of physiology will be essential in helping patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.

Duties

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
• Provide direct patient care, including therapeutic exercises and modalities.
• Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising therapist.
• Educate patients and their families on treatment protocols and home exercise programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress notes.
• Participate in discharge planning and contribute to care plans for ongoing patient management.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Utilize knowledge of medical terminology to communicate effectively within the clinical environment.

Experience
Ideal candidates will possess the following skills and experience:

• Strong understanding of physiology and anatomy relevant to rehabilitation.
• Experience in patient care settings, preferably in acute care or outpatient clinics.
• Familiarity with medical terminology related to physical therapy practices.
• Knowledge of trigger point therapy techniques and orthopedic rehabilitation.
• Experience working with inpatient populations and understanding discharge planning processes.
• Ability to develop and implement effective care plans tailored to individual patient needs.

Pay: $35.00 - $38.00 per hour
