Job Description:

NEI Corporation develops, manufactures and supplies Specialty Materials for diverse industrial applications. The company employs a multi-disciplinary group of highly motivated engineers and scientists, and is looking for qualified candidates to join the team. The company is seeking individuals with a background in Materials Science & Engineering or Materials Chemistry.

NEI is looking for an engineer who can contribute to the Battery group in the company. The individual will use his or her technical background to produce electrodes, powders and test battery materials. An optional responsibility will be to interface with customers. Hands-on experience with advanced materials, including powder, dispersion/slurry and electrode casting is preferred.

In addition to technical skills, the individual should be able to work autonomously, yet be a team player, be detail-oriented, creative, and communicate well with colleagues and customers.

Examples of Skills needed:

  • Hands-on experience with powders used in Batteries - slurry formulation and casting electrodes
  • Good laboratory skills and practices
  • Knowledge and experience in using standard laboratory equipment
  • Maintaining records

Education and experience requirements:

Candidates meeting the requirements for this position may come from a wide variety of technical fields such as Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or Materials Science and Engineering with either a Bachelors or Masters degree. Two to five years industrial experience, chemical or materials industry is preferred, but not mandatory, for this position.
